Though the name might make it sound like some ignored chain of pasta restaurants run by a major brewery chain, The Pasta Factory on Shudehill is actually the real deal. It was established by pals Elisa Cavigliasso, Alberto Umoret, Enrico Princi and Paolo Gaudino, who all grew up together in Turin, then found that their adopted home lacked a neighbourhood ‘pastificio’, and decided to do something about it. Their fresh reginette, coloured with natural charcoal and then stirred through with almonds, confit tomato and black garlic cream, is sensational, as is the ravioli with pumpkin, goat’s cheese and an indulgent sage crumble.

Join our Pasta chefs for a colourful PASTA MASTERCLASS! At The Pasta Factory we are crazy about Pasta. We love to debate on the best combination of Pasta shape and sauce. We play with colours and we serve to our customers the best match possible! Mix & knead. Roll out, cut and fill. Repeat!
During the class we will make two different types of dough using semola and “00” flour, eggs and natural ingredients to make it colourful. You will get to try different tools and, of course, the Pasta machine. Vegan alternatives are always available, just let us know when you book your place. We will then create different shapes of Pasta and we will talk about the best match with the classical Italian sauces. Mix & knead. Roll out, cut and fill. EAT and ENJOY! We haven’t forgotten to include and serve to you a freshly made Pasta dish. The masterclass also includes: a welcome glass of prosecco, a “The Pasta Factory” apron and bag.
